Project Camelot discovery on Chinese servers suggests WoW Classic Plus

Dataminers have discovered the codename ‘Project Camelot’ on Chinese vendor servers, fueling speculation that a ‘WoW Classic Plus’ version of World of Warcraft is nearing development or localization.

This discovery suggests that NetEase may be performing the necessary regulatory and translation work required to bring the content to the Chinese market. Such a move aligns with previous statements from NetEase indicating that Chinese and Western players would receive Classic Plus content simultaneously, potentially supporting a coordinated global launch.

Project Camelot is believed to refer to a version of the game that introduces new quests, zones, and class adjustments while maintaining the original game's structure. While Blizzard has not officially confirmed the project, Executive Producer Holly Longdale previously noted that Classic players have ‘a lot to look forward to’ during the State of Azeroth presentation.
