Projeto Preservar engages students in Cerrado environmental education
The 23rd edition of Projeto Preservar is being held at the Farmacotécnica estate in Brasília, running from August 24 to September 4. The initiative focuses on environmental awareness and the preservation of the Cerrado biome.
Fourth-grade students from Escola Classe Ipê are participating as monitors after undergoing specialized training. These students help educate visitors on biodiversity, soil and water conservation, and the sustainable use of medicinal plants. The project aims to bridge traditional ancestral knowledge of plants with scientific understanding, emphasizing responsible use and the importance of professional guidance.
