ProLogium and Rimac Technology unveil next-generation battery concept
ProLogium and Rimac Technology have introduced a conceptual mockup of a next-generation battery pack at the Paris Motor Show. The collaboration focuses on developing a scalable solution using solid-state pouch cells through a cell-to-pack (CTP) architecture.
The partnership aims to improve energy density while reducing weight and volume by eliminating individual cell housings. ProLogium provides the cell technology, while Rimac Technology manages systemic development and integration, specifically focusing on thermal management, mechanical integration, and safety concepts.
The development follows a multi-stage roadmap: following the current mockup, the companies plan to develop a functional battery segment for testing thermal regulation and cell integration. A fully functional battery pack is expected by 2027, with the first vehicle-based road tests scheduled for 2028.
