ProLogium begins mass production of solid-state batteries in Taiwan
ProLogium Technology has commenced mass production of its Gen 3.5 Lithium Ceramic Battery (LCB) at its gigafactory in Taiwan. The large-format 185.4 Ah cells are designed for high-power and fast-charging applications in electric vehicles.
Third-party testing has verified the battery's performance metrics. TÜV Rheinland confirmed a gravimetric energy density of 381 Wh/kg and a volumetric energy density of 903 Wh/L. Additionally, UL Solutions tested the cell against China’s GB/T 43568-2026 standard. The cell recorded a weight loss of less than 0.05% after six hours under vacuum at 120°C, meeting the requirements to be classified as an all-solid-state battery.
The Gen 3.5 battery utilizes the proprietary Logithium cell architecture, which features a ceramic separator and an edge-frame structure to provide insulation and prevent electrode damage. ProLogium is also developing a Gen 4 battery that will utilize a fully inorganic superfluidized electrolyte.
