PROMESE/CAL marks 42 years of medical logistics service in Dominican Republic

The Essential Medicines Program and Medical Logistics Center (PROMESE/CAL) celebrated its 42nd anniversary of service to the Dominican Republic. The commemoration included a formal flag-raising ceremony at the institution's headquarters in Santo Domingo.

Under the leadership of Director General Dr. José Luis López Pérez, the entity serves as the sole supply center for the National Public Health System. It facilitates access to quality medicines and supplies for millions of citizens through the 'Farmacias del Pueblo' and the National Health Service Network.

During the event, Human Resources Manager Luis Peña emphasized the importance of the institution's workforce, stating that the commitment of public servants is the engine driving institutional progress.
