Promigas expands energy coverage to 7.6 million customers in 2026

Promigas reported significant growth and expansion in its energy operations during the second quarter of 2026. The company reached a total of 7.6 million customers across its various business lines, impacting over 25 million people, businesses, and industries in Latin America. During this period, more than 122,000 new users connected to natural gas services, and the average volume of natural gas transported increased by 7% compared to the same period in 2025.

A key strategic move included the acquisition of Zelestra Latam, which added approximately 1,273 MW of solar energy and storage projects located in Colombia, Chile, and Peru to the company's portfolio. Additionally, the SPEC LNG terminal saw a 43% increase in average regasification volume compared to 2025, receiving 31 LNG vessels during the first half of the year.

Financially, Promigas reported accumulated consolidated revenues of $3.5 trillion pesos and an EBITDA of $1.1 trillion pesos as of June 2026. The company also completed an international issuance of $920 million USD in subordinated hybrid bonds, which saw demand 2.8 times higher than the amount placed. Furthermore, the Brilla program facilitated $353.8 billion pesos in credits, a 24% increase from the previous year, to improve access to goods and services for families.
