Sultanbeyli municipality provides free wedding ceremonies to 4,000 couples

Sultanbeyli Municipality in Istanbul has been offering free civil marriage services in all its wedding halls since last year. The initiative is part of the national "Family and Population 10‑Year" program announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and is intended to support young couples and reduce the cost of marriage.

Mayor Ali Tombaş said the service is available both weekdays and weekends without any fee, and that approximately 4,000 couples have already benefited from the program. The municipality aims to strengthen the family institution by removing financial barriers for couples preparing to start a household.
