Olympiacos signs Greek guard Nikos Plotas from Promitheas

Olympiacos has officially signed 22-year-old Greek guard Nikos Plotas from Promitheas Patras. The move is intended to strengthen the team’s domestic core for the 2026-27 season. Plotas has signed a five-year contract, which reportedly includes a 3+1+1 structure, with annual earnings estimated at approximately one million euros. Olympiacos will also pay a buy-out fee to Promitheas, though the exact amount remains undisclosed.

Plotas joins the Piraeus-based club following a standout season in the Stoiximan GBL, where he was named Best Young Player. During his tenure with Promitheas, he averaged 5.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 23 games. He also brings continental experience from the 7DAYS EuroCup and the Basketball Champions League, as well as international experience representing Greece in U18 and U20 competitions.

Promitheas Patras released a statement thanking Plotas for his contributions, noting that he developed through their “NOUS” academy program and has been with the club since the age of 13.
