Propagazioni Festival concludes in Oristano with focus on rights and music

The fifth edition of the Propagazioni Festival in Oristano, Sardinia, is concluding with a program focused on human rights and music. The final day features a discussion titled ‘Migrare al confine dei diritti’ (Migrating at the Border of Rights) held at the Hospitalis Sancti Antoni cloister.

The event includes Alaa Faraj, a Libyan man who was previously sentenced to thirty years in prison before being pardoned by President Mattarella. Faraj will present his Terzani Prize-winning book, ‘Perché ero ragazzo’, which details his journey to Italy, his imprisonment, and his correspondence with law professor Alessandra Sciurba. He will be joined in conversation by intellectual Luigi Manconi and activist Alessandra Sciurba, moderated by artistic director Vito Biolchini.

The festival will also celebrate Sardinian musical history with a presentation by music critic Felice Liperi regarding his book on the group Tazenda. The evening will conclude with a performance by the band Tazenda.
