Propeep delivers new equipped home in Santo Domingo Este

The Presidency's Strategic and Special Projects Directorate (Propeep) has delivered a new, fully equipped home to Sandino Rodríguez Pérez in the El Tamarindo II sector of Santo Domingo Este. The recipient had previously lived in a severely deteriorated structure characterized by leaks, damaged wood and zinc, and pest issues.

As part of the ‘Un Abrazo de Esperanza’ program, the initiative aims to transform precarious living conditions into adequate housing. The new residence includes essential household appliances such as a refrigerator, microwave, blender, stove, and beds to ensure improved quality of life.

Propeep Director Robert Polanco stated that the program has delivered approximately 20 homes so far this year, averaging one every 15 days. He noted that these interventions follow instructions from President Luis Abinader and that the program intends to expand its reach to other provinces and municipalities.
