Property developments proposed in Warrenheip and Strathfieldsaye

In Victoria, Australia, two distinct property development proposals have been lodged. In Warrenheip, the Southside Church plans to convert the former Provedore restaurant on the Western Freeway into a place of worship. The project, estimated to cost approximately $10,000, intends to repurpose the existing interior to include a chapel, dining room, kitchen, and meeting spaces. The church plans to utilize the site's hospitality infrastructure to host community meals, men's breakfasts, and worship services.

Separately, Coles has submitted planning documents to build a new supermarket in the Bendigo growth suburb of Strathfieldsaye. The proposed site at 917-925 Wellington Street covers approximately 1.03 hectares and would include a 2,675-square-metre supermarket, a Liquorland bottle shop, and an on-site cafe. The development plan features 125 parking spaces, including electric vehicle charging bays and click-and-collect areas, with developers stating the project will not significantly impact local traffic.
