Prosecutor Andrzej Golec detained after entering stranger's apartment
Andrzej Golec, a prosecutor and former president of the Ad Vocem association linked to Zbigniew Ziobro, was involved in a nighttime incident in the Mokotów district of Warsaw. Reports indicate that Golec entered a stranger's apartment while the resident was showering. The resident discovered the intruder and requested that he leave, but the man reportedly refused several times before eventually exiting.
The resident, assisted by a security guard, detained Golec in the building's stairwell, an intervention that likely involved the use of pepper spray. Police arrived at the scene and conducted a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol content of approximately 0.63 promille. Golec initially provided conflicting accounts to officers, claiming he was looking for a friend or a female acquaintance, before identifying himself as an active prosecutor.
Golec has since addressed the incident, claiming he did not trespass but rather “mistook the door to the apartment.” He stated that he did not use force and noted that the entrance door was slightly ajar. He expressed regret over the situation.
