Valjevo prosecutor's car targeted in arson attack

The car of Vukašin Vujičić, a public prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Valjevo, was set on fire during the night of August 15 and 16. The vehicle, a 2010 Seat Ibiza, was parked in a courtyard surrounded by residential buildings. While the fire was extinguished in time to prevent a potential explosion, the incident has caused significant distress, leading Vujičić to move his family out of the city for their safety.

Vujičić indicated that the attack may be linked to his work on sensitive cases, specifically those involving street conflicts from August of the previous year that resulted in injuries to students, citizens, and police officers.

In a related development regarding local resources, members of the 'Padobranac' Volunteer Fire Department reported that they were denied funding for truck maintenance because the funds were redirected to support students.
