Prosecutors file indictments for domestic violence in Bosnia and Serbia

Prosecutors in the Balkans have filed indictments against two men for severe domestic violence incidents.

In Bijeljina, the District Public Prosecutor's Office charged a man for physically attacking his former partner while she was holding their minor daughter. The indictment states that the suspect struck the woman in the face, causing her and the child to fall to the ground, and subsequently struck her in the chest, resulting in light bodily injuries. Additionally, an indictment was confirmed in Višegrad against another individual for making threats toward his former wife while intoxicated.

In Serbia, the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Pančevo filed an indictment against a 51-year-old man from Starčevo for four counts of domestic violence. The charges allege that while under the influence of alcohol and in the presence of his three daughters, the suspect threatened to kill and maim his wife. The indictment further claims the man brandished a pistol and handed it to his minor daughter, telling her to shoot him.
