Prosecutor's Office initiates dispute over UIOBiH building purchase
The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has initiated an administrative dispute regarding the purchase of a building for the Institution of the High Representative (UIOBiH) in Banja Luka. This legal action follows a decision by the Office of the Complaints Reviewer, which declared itself incompetent to act on a complaint filed by the Prosecutor's Office.
Representatives for UIOBiH stated that the procurement process for the property, valued at nearly 100 million KM from the company Grand Trade, was transparent and open. However, the institution is currently caught in judicial disputes between various state bodies. UIOBiH has requested a temporary injunction to suspend the execution of the decision until a final court ruling is reached, emphasizing the urgent need for adequate office space.
Members of a parliamentary anti-corruption commission have accused the Office of the Complaints Reviewer of avoiding responsibility and have called for an investigation into the legality of its operations.
