Prosecutors seek life sentence for serial killer Trajce Bojkovski

Prosecutors at the Basic Court in Kumanovo have requested a life sentence for Trajce Bojkovski, who is accused of four murders and two attempted murders in the Staro Nagoricane municipality. Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Lape described the defendant, a former shepherd, as a predator who targeted elderly and vulnerable women while they were alone.

The prosecution presented evidence that the victims—Stanche Karevska, Janka Antevska, Marija Marinkovska, and Mira Stankovska—were killed through strangulation and chest pressure. DNA evidence from the defendant was reportedly found on two of the deceased and one survivor. Two other women, Slobotka Arsovska and Rosanka Trajkovska, testified to being attacked and strangled.

Psychiatric evaluations cited by the prosecution indicate that Bojkovski is calculating, capable of concealment, and lacks empathy, remorse, or shame. The prosecutor argued that the defendant poses a high risk of recidivism and is incapable of social reintegration. The prosecution further noted that the defendant's claims of remorse were identified by experts as mere manipulation.
