ProSieben launches Amazon survival documentary with Lilly Becker
ProSieben and its streaming service Joyn are launching a new adventure documentary series titled ‘Surviving Amazonas – Die Prüfung der Shanenawa’. The ten-part series follows eight German celebrities as they spend ten days living with the Shanenawa indigenous people in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest.
The cast includes Lilly Becker, a former ‘Jungle Queen’ from RTL, Joey Kelly, comedian Parshad Esmaeili, fitness influencer Willi Banner, Gina Rühl, Antonia Hemmer, Lézan, and creator How2Shirli. The participants aim to immerse themselves in the tribe's lifestyle and learn about their culture and alternative medicine.
Lilly Becker described the project as ‘an inner calling’ and noted that the experience differed from typical reality competitions, focusing more on cultural encounters than mere suffering. The series is scheduled to begin airing on September 8, 2026, with episodes available on Joyn and ProSieben.
