Prospect Private Hospital proposed for Adelaide’s inner north

A new three-theatre private hospital, Prospect Private Hospital, has been proposed for Adelaide’s inner north at 126 Main North Road. Led by Dr Samy Kafagy, the project aims to address a shortage of theatre time for specialists and a lack of medium-sized day surgery facilities in the region.

The proposed three-storey facility is intended to host dental, oral, plastic, hand, eye, and ENT surgeries. It will include eight overnight rooms to accommodate regional patients or those requiring post-operative care, alongside pre-operative and recovery areas. If approved, construction is targeted for 2027 with an expected opening in 2028.
