Argentina RIGI investments impact 1,200 national suppliers

Argentina's Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, announced that investments under the Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) are already impacting the entire country, involving over 1,200 national suppliers. Approximately 86% of these investments are directed toward domestic companies.

To further connect RIGI projects in mining, industry, and infrastructure with local suppliers, the Ministry of Economy will host its first RIGI business round in Rosario on October 29.

A key project highlighted is the Manuel Belgrano Pipeline, which TGN will promote under the RIGI framework. The project, including complementary works, involves a total investment of approximately USD 2,200 million. It aims to enhance the value of Vaca Muerta gas to address supply deficits in central and northern Argentina and develop export markets.

President Javier Milei also visited industrial projects in Bahía Blanca linked to the RIGI. These include Compañía Mega S.A., which projects a USD 365.4 million investment to expand gas processing capacity, and Pampa Energía, which plans to build a urea plant with a projected investment of USD 2,700 million.
