Prosperidad Social begins fourth transfer cycle in Nariño and Santander

Prosperidad Social has initiated the fourth cycle of monetary transfers for the Renta Ciudadana and Devolución del IVA programs in the Colombian departments of Nariño and Santander. The distribution period is scheduled from September 21 to October 6, 2026.

In Nariño, 44,708 households in situations of poverty or vulnerability will receive funds, with a total allocation of 20.251 billion pesos. In Santander, 35,196 households are set to benefit from 15.142 billion pesos, an increase of 1.199 billion pesos and 2,110 new households compared to the previous cycle.

Payments will be processed through the SuRed and SuperGIROS networks or via direct deposits to previously registered bank accounts. The agency noted that these transfers are part of a transition toward the Universal Income Registry (RUI) and utilized Sisbén IV data to incorporate new households in extreme poverty. Beneficiaries are reminded that funds are not cumulative, and payments cannot be made via third-party authorizations or powers of attorney.
