SanDisk stock soars on AI memory demand and launches tokenized shares

SanDisk's shares have surged dramatically in 2026, rising from around $40 after its spin‑off from Western Digital to over $1,600, a year‑to‑date gain of roughly 857%. The rally is driven by exploding demand for NAND flash memory and solid‑state drives that power AI model training and inference, with the company securing multiyear supply contracts worth $42 billion. Analysts see further upside, with a Bernstein forecast projecting a $3,000 target price later this year.

The stock’s rapid rise is now mirrored on blockchain platforms. Ondo Finance introduced a tokenized version (SNDK on) in March, and in June a Solana‑based token ($SNDK) launched, offering 1:1 conversion to actual shares and continuous after‑hours trading. These on‑chain products give investors around‑the‑clock exposure to the high‑flying equity.

Industry observers note that the AI‑driven memory super‑cycle underpins the growth, positioning SanDisk as a key supplier for data‑center expansion and generative‑AI workloads.
