ProTaxi launches 1,000 electric vehicles in Abuja

PromiseLand Innovation has launched ProTaxi, an e-hailing platform in Abuja, deploying 1,000 electric vehicles (EVs) to provide affordable transportation options. The initiative aims to use technology to create economic opportunities for drivers and their families while promoting modern mobility.

Adetokunbo Ade-John, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Transportation and Mobility, commended the project, stating it aligns with the administration’s vision for transforming Nigeria’s transportation sector. Ade-John encouraged the expansion of the initiative beyond Abuja to other parts of the country and noted that private sector innovations can complement government efforts, such as the deployment of electric buses and CNG-powered vehicles.

Emmanuel Oloche, CEO of PromiseLand Innovation, stated the platform is designed to help individuals move from poverty to prosperity through technology-driven economic opportunities.
