Protesters block Rheinmetall facilities in Germany
Activists conducted coordinated protests at multiple Rheinmetall defense manufacturing sites across Germany to oppose arms deliveries to Israel. The demonstrations involved protesters gluing themselves to roads to block access to company premises.
In Berlin-Wedding, nine individuals glued themselves to the street in front of the Rheinmetall site. Police deployed approximately 90 officers to resolve the situation. The group “Peacefully Against Genocide” claimed responsibility for the call to action. Investigations are underway regarding coercion and the use of unconstitutional symbols.
In Kassel, seven people blocked the entrance to a Rheinmetall plant while displaying posters related to the Middle East conflict. After an unannounced assembly lasted about ninety minutes, police intervened, using solvents to remove individuals who had glued themselves to the asphalt. Five participants face legal proceedings for violating assembly laws.
Organizers stated that more than 70 people participated in these actions across various federal states, targeting multiple arms industry locations.
