Protesters in São Paulo display inflatable missile calling for U.S. nuclear attack
During a political demonstration on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo supporting the presidential candidacy of Flávio Bolsonaro, protesters displayed an inflatable missile. The object featured the English inscription “Trump nuke Brazil,” a message calling for U.S. President Donald Trump to attack Brazil with nuclear weapons.
The event, referred to as “Bloquinho do 22,” included several high-profile political figures such as São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas and Mayor Ricardo Nunes. The display of the inflatable missile drew sharp criticism from political opponents, including Minister Guilherme Boulos and Federal Deputies Erika Hilton and Sâmia Bomfim, who defended Brazilian sovereignty.
While the organizers had previously requested that participants prioritize Brazilian national symbols over foreign flags, the missile remained a focal point of the gathering. The demonstration took place ahead of the second round of presidential elections scheduled for October 25.
