Protests erupt in Mexico over disappearance of four men in Sinaloa

Family members and residents of Ixtlahuaca, State of Mexico, are conducting continuous protests at the El Dorado toll booth on the Toluca-Atlacomulco highway. The demonstrators have been lifting the toll gates to allow free passage for motorists to pressure authorities for information regarding the disappearance of four men.

The missing individuals—identified as Oscar García Hernández, Omar Alexis, Gregorio, and Javier Ramírez Sabino—disappeared on February 3 while vacationing in Mazatlán, Sinaloa. Reports indicate they were intercepted by alleged armed groups after renting off-road vehicles. While a woman and a minor from the original group of six were later located alive, the four men remain missing.

Despite the reported detention of over a dozen suspects, families claim that no statements have been provided that clarify the victims' whereabouts. Authorities have stated that there are currently no solid lines of investigation or definitive clues regarding their location.
