Proton Centre emphasizes patient support in cancer treatment

The Proton Centre in the Czech Republic emphasizes holistic cancer treatment by integrating psychological support and administrative assistance through its Client Service department. Each patient is assigned a coordinator to help navigate examinations, insurance communications, scheduling, and logistics from initial contact through the end of treatment.

This patient-centric model has served as an inspiration for the Czech Ministry of Health, which introduced oncology care coordinators nationwide in January 2026. The Proton Centre, which has treated over 16,000 patients over the last 12 years, also provides accommodation options, such as the Botel Marina, to assist patients traveling from across the country.
