Province of Brindisi faces financial crisis at Santa Teresa spa

The Province of Brindisi faces a significant financial challenge regarding Santa Teresa spa, a company in which the province holds a stake. The company’s 2025 budget indicates a projected deficit of 800,000 euros, with further uncertainty regarding subsequent years.

Due to the heavy financial situation, the company is required to implement a three-year recovery plan under the Madia Law. This process aims to safeguard the jobs of approximately 80 employees while avoiding further losses.

Following the resignation of sole administrator Luca Aresta, Antonio Diaferia has been appointed to the role. The newly elected President of the Province, Elio Ciccarese, must now oversee the recovery plan and seek approval from the Provincial Council within one month, a task complicated by the province's limited available funds.
