Province of Cuneo renews ties with Castelmagno sanctuary

The Province of Cuneo participated in the patronal feast of San Magno to renew its historical connection with the sanctuary of Castelmagno. This tradition dates back to 1957, when the province was consecrated to Maria Assunta.

Following a morning mass, a traditional procession was held involving religious, civil, and military authorities. During the service, led by Bishop Piero Delbosco, a memorial was held for the ‘ragazzi delle stelle’—five young people who died in a tragic road accident in Castelmagno in August 2020.

Province President Luca Robaldo stated that the presence of the provincial administration serves to confirm a historical bond with the mountain location and the community that gathers there for spirituality and remembrance.
