Province of Viterbo continues school building maintenance and safety upgrades
The Province of Viterbo is continuing a program of maintenance, redevelopment, and safety improvements for school buildings across the Tuscia region. Key projects include the completion of a gymnasium in Acquapendente and the construction of new gymnasiums in Montalto di Castro, Nepi, Bassano Romano, Caprarola, Civita Castellana, and at the ITT Leonardo da Vinci in Viterbo.
Other ongoing works include maintenance at the Orioli and Buratti institutes, external area improvements at ITT Leonardo da Vinci, and seismic retrofitting in Tarquinia.
However, provincial officials, including President Alessandro Romoli and Councilor Francesco Ciarlanti, have noted that repeated vandalism is draining resources. Damage such as broken doors, damaged walls, dismantled sinks, and unusable restrooms requires continuous repair costs. The administration intends to work more closely with school principals to identify those responsible for the damage and pursue appropriate legal actions.
