Proxes International seeks to acquire Tinex retail business in North Macedonia

The Kosovo-based company Proxes International L.L.C. has submitted a notification to the Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) regarding its intention to acquire control over the retail business of Tinex-MT DOOEL Export-Import Skopje in North Macedonia.

The transaction involves the retail network operating under the names ‘Tinex’, ‘SuperTinex’, ‘Tinex Delicates’, ‘Conto’, and ‘Spot’. To facilitate the takeover, a new legal entity, ‘Tinex Market DOOEL Skopje’, was registered on July 14, 2026, which will serve as the vehicle for managing the retail operations.

According to the CPC, Proxes International specializes in retail trade in non-specialized stores, primarily food, beverages, and tobacco. The investor currently has no registered related entities or recorded revenues in the Macedonian market. While the Commission has determined that the concentration may fall under the provisions of the Law on Protection of Competition, a final decision is pending. Interested third parties have been invited to submit comments and opinions within a 10-day period.
