Proyecto LMF honors 132 students for academic excellence

The Proyecto LMF celebrated the fourth edition of the Orlando Martínez Academic Excellence Award in Las Matas de Farfán, San Juan. The initiative recognized 132 public school students for their outstanding academic performance during the 2025-2026 school year.

All honorees achieved academic indices above 98 points, with 20 to 21 students reaching a perfect score of 100. Tibisay Roa, president of Proyecto LMF, stated that the initiative aims to demonstrate the capabilities of the youth and motivate students to understand that excellence opens doors. She also called upon local institutions and businesses to support educational development to foster community growth.

During the ceremony, plastic surgeon Hanmer Roa addressed the students, encouraging them to overcome economic and social limitations. He emphasized that merit involves consistency and discipline beyond mere grades, noting that being from a non-urban area should not act as a barrier to professional success.
