Adjusted earnings per share climbed 20% to $2.43, beating consensus estimates of $2.30. Group‑benefits profit surged 25% to $503 million. Regional performance was led by Asia, where earnings grew 21%, and Latin America, with a 15% increase. CEO Michel Khalaf said the results “reinforce our ability to create value for shareholders across cycles.” MetLife, founded in 1868, now operates in more than 40 markets worldwide.
