Prusa Research refreshes 3D printer lineup with XL+ and CORE One models
Prusa Research is refreshing its 3D printer lineup this summer with the introduction of the XL+, CORE One+ (Gen 2), and CORE One L+. The updates focus on improving everyday usability, including cleaner print starts, better surface quality, and easier operation based on community feedback.
Key technical improvements across the new models include a new standard nozzle wiper to remove filament residue and GT1.5 belts designed to reduce repeating patterns on smooth surfaces. The XL+ features a new 360-degree cooling system, while the updated models also benefit from a new eddy current tool offset sensor that reportedly measures toolhead alignment up to twenty times faster than previous methods.
Consistent with the company’s existing philosophy, Prusa is offering upgrade paths for existing owners. Rather than requiring the purchase of entirely new machines, hardware upgrades such as new electronics or conversions to enclosed models are available as incremental purchases. All machines will continue to receive firmware updates, improved print profiles, and ongoing support through PrusaSlicer.
