Pruszków approves property tax increase for 2027
Pruszków city councilors have approved an increase in property tax rates for 2027. The new rates represent a 10 percent increase compared to 2026 levels. For residential buildings, the rate will rise from 0.98 PLN to 1.08 PLN per square meter annually.
Business-related properties will face a rate of 35.97 PLN per square meter, while land used for business activities will be taxed at 1.32 PLN per square meter. The city also maintained differentiated rates for properties used for healthcare services, ranging from 1.95 to 3.74 PLN per square meter.
In a broader national context, discussions regarding a potential cadastral tax in Poland continue. Unlike the current system, which taxes based on physical surface area, a cadastral tax would be based on the market value of the property. While currently not implemented, various economic proposals suggest targeting institutional investors or applying progressive rates to additional properties to mitigate the burden on average households.
