Przyłęk residents create straw football team for harvest festival

Residents of Przyłęk have created a unique straw installation for the local harvest festival (dożynki). The decoration features straw figures of the Polish national football team wearing white and red jerseys, seated on a specially constructed wooden grandstand under a golden trophy.

In addition to the football theme, the installation includes local figures made of straw, such as a police officer, a local official, and a representative of the Volunteer Fire Department (OSP). According to local councilor Maciej Kubik, the goal of these seasonal decorations is to provide a meaningful message while adhering to competition rules that require the use of straw and agricultural themes.

This is not the first large-scale straw project in the village. Previous installations included a five-meter-tall figure of Bolesław Chrobry, which took approximately two weeks to prepare. The current football-themed display was chosen to bring the spirit of the national team to the harvest celebrations.
