Přísaha candidate sought payment for Senate endorsement

Pavel Černý, an unsuccessful Senate candidate from the Přísaha party, requested 50,000 CZK in exchange for endorsing ANO candidate Jiří Kyněra in the Znojmo district runoff election.

According to reports, Černý approached local ANO representatives, including Stanislav Palša, stating he would provide support on the condition of a “motivating financial compensation package.” Černý justified the demand by explaining that the endorsement would involve professional labor, including filming and editing video content in his capacity as an influencer.

Kyněra ultimately rejected the offer, stating that political endorsements should be based on shared principles and mutual respect rather than monetary transactions. Following the rejection, Černý instead endorsed the incumbent candidate from TOP 09, Tomáš Třetina. Both Černý and Třetina confirmed that no money was exchanged for this subsequent endorsement.
