PSD representatives raise local concerns in Paços de Ferreira and Famalicão

The PSD political party in Paços de Ferreira has presented proposals to the Assembly of the Republic aimed at supporting local sports associations. The delegation, composed of local officials and party members, is advocating for VAT and Vehicle Tax (ISV) exemptions on the purchase of vans used to transport athletes. This measure is intended to help sports collectives renew their fleets and improve safety during the transport of young athletes to training and competitions.

In Famalicão, the PSD political commission met with the leadership of the Association of Commerce and Industry of Vila Nova de Famalicão (ACIF) to discuss the association's displacement from its current headquarters. The building owner has unilaterally terminated the lease, requiring ACIF to vacate the premises by January 2027. The meeting also addressed challenges facing traditional commerce, such as competition from online platforms and large retail chains, as ACIF seeks alternative facilities to continue its training and business support services.
