PSD Summer University to host prominent political figures in Castelo de Vide

The Social Democratic Party (PSD) has announced the 22nd edition of its traditional Summer University, a political training initiative for young people. The event will take place from August 24 to 30 in Castelo de Vide, in the Portalegre district.

The program features a diverse lineup of political figures, including former presidential candidate Luís Marques Mendes, centrist Paulo Portas, and socialist João Soares. Government ministers Margarida Balseiro Lopes (Culture, Youth, and Sports) and Paulo Rangel (Foreign Affairs) are also scheduled to participate.

Approximately 100 selected youths will receive training on national, European, and international politics, covering topics such as the economy, energy, state reform, education, and culture. The week-long schedule includes workshops, lectures, and a simulated parliamentary session, concluding with a session featuring Prime Minister and PSD President Luís Montenegro.
