PSdeG headquarters in Ferrol vandalized with hate speech

The PSdeG (Socialist Party of Galicia) has reported an act of vandalism at its local headquarters, the Casa do Pobo in Ferrol. The building was defaced with graffiti reading ‘Traidores esclavos de Marruecos’ (Traitors, slaves of Morocco), a message linked to recent events in Ceuta.

Lara Méndez, the party's Secretary of Organization, attributed the attack to ‘concerning political polarization’ and the normalization of confrontational rhetoric by the far-right. She described the incident as a direct aggression against democratic coexistence. Local PSOE secretary Ángel Mato added that the graffiti reflects ‘ultra messages’ and xenophobic ideologies rather than being a targeted attack solely against the PSOE.

The party intends to file a formal complaint with the National Police. Additionally, the political group Ferrol en Común issued a statement condemning the ‘vandalic and uncivil’ behavior, calling for a unanimous condemnation from the local government and a thorough investigation into the incident.
