PSG and Lyon face off in Ligue 1 summit clash

Paris Saint-Germain hosts Olympique Lyonnais at the Parc des Princes in a high-stakes Ligue 1 match that could determine the league leader. Both teams currently sit at the top of the table with 14 points each, though Lyon holds a superior goal difference.

The fixture, originally scheduled for Sunday, October 25, was postponed to Monday, October 26, following a directive from the Paris Police Prefecture due to security concerns surrounding planned large-scale protests in the capital.

PSG enters the match in strong form, following a recent 4-2 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League, but they face significant injury challenges. Key players including Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Marquinhos, Ousmane Dembélé, and Nuno Mendes are unavailable. Luis Enrique is expected to rely on Ferran Torres to lead the attack. Lyon, managed by Paulo Fonseca, also faces squad absences but maintains one of the league's strongest defenses.
