PSI-Avanti! criticizes Vannacci's school model

Leaders of the PSI-Avanti! party, Enzo Maraio and Luca Fantò, have issued a critique of the educational proposals put forward by Roberto Vannacci and the Fronte Nazionale. The socialist group argues that the proposed model focuses on selection and rigor rather than social emancipation.

Specifically, the party opposes the introduction of military training in high schools and the use of differentiated classes, which they claim could limit future opportunities for many youths. They advocate for a secular school system that remains inclusive of Christian and Roman history, while also supporting 'Ius Scholae' to integrate those who grow up and study in Italy.

PSI-Avanti! maintains that the role of the Republic's school system should be to provide tools to overcome inequalities rather than reproducing them. They argue that current political proposals overlook critical issues such as school dropout rates, territorial inequalities, teacher salaries, precarious employment, and school infrastructure.
