PSIM Yogyakarta to evaluate performance during FIFA Matchday break

PSIM Yogyakarta is utilizing the FIFA Matchday international break to rest players and conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the team's performance. Following a difficult stretch in the 2026/2027 BRI Super League, where the club earned only one point from three matches—consisting of one draw and two losses—management and coaching staff have decided to implement a temporary break.

Team manager Iksan Mahar stated that the squad has been on leave since September 18 and is scheduled to resume training on September 27. The evaluation will cover both technical and non-technical aspects to address the recent results against Persita Tangerang, Persebaya Surabaya, and Madura United. The club aims to use this period as a reset to improve performance ahead of their next scheduled match against Persija Jakarta on October 10.

Currently, PSIM Yogyakarta sits in 14th place in the league standings, holding a one-point advantage over the relegation zone.
