PSOE Cádiz chief Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix demands PP explain Algeciras scandals

Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, the secretary‑general of the PSOE in Cádiz, criticised the regional PP for alleged scandals surrounding Algeciras mayor José Ignacio Landaluce and El Puerto mayor Germán Beardo. He urged Andalusian president Juan ma Moreno and PP provincial leader Bruno García to provide urgent explanations, announced that Socialists will table a motion of censure in the provincial council, and accused the PP of “double moral” and silence.

Ruiz Boix also defended the national government’s economic record, citing a 2.6 % GDP growth rate, record employment, and the lowest unemployment in Cádiz in two decades. While acknowledging disappointing recent regional election results, he said the PSOE will win the 2027 general election, pledges to improve communication, and aims to expand PSOE control in municipal governments and reclaim the provincial diputation. He expressed confidence in his own re‑election as mayor of San Roque, highlighting local job‑creation success.
