PSOE defends Pedro Sánchez's government model and social policies

The Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) has defended the government model led by Pedro Sánchez, describing it as one that ‘advances, protects and functions.’ The party contrasted its approach with that of the Partido Popular (PP) and Vox, which it characterized as divisive and regressive.

Key government initiatives highlighted by the PSOE include the revaluation of pensions in line with the cost of living to ensure dignity for the elderly. Additionally, the party pointed to the ‘Verano Joven’ program, which offers up to 90% discounts on public transport for youth aged 18 to 30 to promote mobility and economic activity.

Regarding social equality, the PSOE noted the equalization of paternity and maternity leave implemented in 2021, with further increases planned for 2025, raising leave to 19 weeks per parent and up to 32 weeks for single-parent families.
