PSOE demands municipalization of home care services in Sanlúcar
The PSOE in Sanlúcar de Barrameda has called on Mayor Carmen Álvarez and Izquierda Unida to begin the immediate municipalization of the Home Help Service. The goal is to transition the service into a directly managed public provision.
Councilor Pacote Pizarro stated that the city has the necessary economic stability for this transition, noting a budget of 9 million euros allocated for the service in 2026. The proposal suggests using the municipal public company EMUREMASA to manage the service, which would require amending its statutes and reallocating budget items. The initiative reportedly has the support of over 400 workers and local left-wing parties such as Adelante Andalucía.
