PSV beats FC Eindhoven 3-0 in preseason Lichtstadderby

PSV Eindhoven defeated city rivals FC Eindhoven 3-0 in the annual Lichtstadderby held at the Philips Stadion. The match served as the final preparation for the new season, and PSV lifted the first trophy of the campaign – the Lichtstad‑trofee.

Stijn Schaars took charge of the side as part of his trainer‑license programme, with head coach Peter Bosz watching from the stands. Young striker Amir Bouhamdi opened the scoring after six minutes, but was forced off midway through the first half after a collision with Thijs Muller. He was replaced by Sami Bouhoudane, who added the third goal late in the game.

Guus Til contributed a second‑half goal to double the lead before halftime. PSV will face Johan Cruijff Schaal opponents AZ Alkmaar in the upcoming season‑opening match.
