PSV Eindhoven completes signings of Filip Kostic and Kodai Sano

Filip Kostic, the 33‑year‑old Serbian left‑winger, has signed a two‑year contract with PSV Eindhoven after leaving Juventus on a free transfer. The move was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano and Dutch media, noting Kostic’s experience in the Eredivisie with FC Groningen and his versatility across the left flank. He praised PSV coach Peter Bosz and said the club’s style suited him.

In a separate but related transfer, Japanese midfielder Kodai Sano’s move from NEC Nijmegen to PSV was finalized after a dispute that saw him refuse to play in a Champions League qualifier against Olympiakos. NEC director Carlos Aalbers called the situation a breach of agreement, while coach Dick Schreuder said Sano cited lack of readiness. The clubs agreed on a fee reported between €14.5 million and €16 million, and the transfer was completed ahead of the upcoming season.

Both signings bolster PSV’s squad depth on the left side, addressing previous gaps and adding experience for domestic and European competitions.
