Psychological care initiatives expand in Soria and La Rioja

The Official College of Psychology of Castilla y León (COPCYL) has launched a series of six free sessions aimed at improving emotional well-being in rural areas of Soria. Held throughout October and November, the workshops focus on emotional balance, thoughts, and behaviors. The program is divided into two blocks, with three sessions each held in the municipalities of San Pedro Manrique and Berlanga de Duero, led by health psychologists Carmen Marcos de Arriba and María Rodríguez Pino.

In La Rioja, the government has expanded the 'Saludablemente+' program to include psychological care for children aged 6 to 9. This expansion, which began in September, includes the addition of two new professionals, bringing the total staff to 17 psychologists. The initiative aims for early detection of emotional difficulties such as anxiety, sadness, and insecurity through primary care. The program has already treated 81 minors, with plans to extend services to adolescents aged 14 to 17 by early 2027.
