Istituto Folcioni launches new musical series in Crema

The Civico Istituto Musicale Luigi Folcioni in Crema has announced the return of its ‘Salotti Musicali’ project. Following a successful first edition, the new season will feature nine scheduled encounters divided into two series, along with two special evenings.

The artistic direction is led by Professor Gabriele Duranti and Professor Emanuele Fiammetti. The format is designed to bring the public closer to music through an interactive experience rather than a traditional concert. Each session lasts approximately ninety minutes and takes place in the Sala Anelli at the Fondazione San Domenico. During these meetings, musicians share the stories and ideas behind significant musical works before performing them live in close proximity to the audience.

In a separate regional matter, a dispute has emerged in Sora regarding a resolution passed by the local council concerning the Consorzio di Bonifica. Daniele Pili, the commissioner of the Consorzio, has challenged the resolution, stating it lacks legal validity and is inapplicable. While the mayor, Luca Di Stefano, acknowledged the administrative limitations of the council's decision, the move is viewed as a significant political action. Both parties have indicated a willingness to meet to find a way to reconcile the interests of the municipality and the Consorzio.
