Psychology and neurodiversity events scheduled in Italy

Two upcoming psychological and social discussions are scheduled in Italy. In Imperia, psychologist and Gruppo Abele honorary president Leopoldo Grosso will lead a session titled “Le nuove dipendenze” (New Addictions) on October 22. The meeting will address modern compulsive behaviors, including smartphone and social media use, the Hikikomori phenomenon, online gambling, and obsessive performance needs.

In Manfredonia, an event on October 21 will feature Eleonora Marocchini, a psycholinguist and researcher, discussing her books “Neurodivergente” and “La psicologia è politica.” The dialogue will explore human neurodiversity, the variability of human neuropsychology, and the intersection of psychology with social movements and political discourse, specifically addressing the deconstruction of ableism.
